I met Prasanna Gunawardena in 2008 and was introduced to the works of his organization around the same time. Mr. Gunawardena was the designer for one of our projects - Mosvold Villas.
I was taken up by the organization’s professional and intricate approach to design and high quality of reliable service and also Mr. Gunawardena’s values through experience, commitment and professionalism towards his clients, reputes his organization. SDC did the total design based on our needs and I was appreciative of how easy it was to directly converse with him when we required any adjustments, changes or modifications to our projects.

Kankamage House, KelaniyaMy acquaintance with Mr. Prasanna Gunawardena goes back about 5 years when we had begun consulting him on various matters relating to architecture. He was always available and readily gave his advice and opinions. When we were finalizing our latest expansion, the construction of 12 new suites, we decided to consult him and accepted his proposals, which were presented promptly and in a professional manner. What a difference it was when comparing with our earlier projects with other architects and contractors.
At the outset a very reliable and experienced team was appointed by Mr. Gunawardena, which speaks volumes for his organizational skills. All plans, estimates and amendments were given on time with regular site meetings and he was always available for any emergency. The final product came out extremely well .The contractor too was outstanding and the project was completed 3 weeks ahead of schedule.
It was really a pleasure to have worked with him and I will not hesitate to consult him or seek his services for any new projects that we are undertake as it will be a proven choice. It is also of immense benefit for Galle to have such a reputed company and a person of his stature.

We had gone through a broad search for many architects and architectural service providers alike to design and build us a house to spend the days of our retirement in Sri Lanka, and all this came to a complete halt when we were introduced to SDC through mutual friends. SDC has begun on constructing and building our house and even at the design stage we were amazed at how their level of communication remained consistent with us although we lived abroad. Our ideas for the house were taken into consideration and simplified with 3D graphical models and we found this to be a great form of correspondence to helps us wholly understand the plans.
Attempting to have a house built in Sri Lanka, while living in England was not an easy task, but with SDC there was always personal assurance and trust; their services in design/build supervision, property management and regularity of communication with us, have given us peace of mind that our house in Sri Lanka is in the safest of hands. Mr. Gunawardena throughout his time with us, which to date has been over a year and a half, has always been diplomatic, patient, efficient and involved consistently in our villa construction. His staffs have been on-site as well as on-line, daily, and have replied to our long distance questions to our satisfaction. We were made well aware of the many permissible procedures that we would be facing as foreigners building in Sri Lanka, nevertheless we are happy with Mr. Gunawardena’s professionalism, patience, understanding, rationalism and experience in the smooth sailing of such matters.
Our villa is in its final stage of construction and from our recent visit we are very pleased with the design and the practicality of the house. Mr. Gunawardena designed a home suitable for our needs, and has incorporated our Mediterranean style as well the Sri Lankan style we had asked for.
